Here’s an indie mashup to mix things up a little. DJ Plan B mixes together the a capella of Phoenix’s “1901″ with The Shins’ “New Slang.” It’s a pretty chill song that I’d typical play to study to, since it has seemed to calm me down a bit the last 15 mins. New Music All The Way From MARS

Well, if you don’t know about this young MC, get to know him. He’s 16 years old from Ontario, Canada and has an insane flow. This track features a John Legend sample of his own song “Heaven” and a saxophone part that meshes perfectly with the beat. Enjoy this track because I’m sure you guys will. Also, his tape will be droppin sometime soon so be sure to be on the lookout for that!

Chill Indie Song

So the weekend is over and here is a nice chill song for you when you are working on some HW or just relaxing. Throughout the whole song there is a very smooth synth beat with the occasional xylophone riff that reminds me of Vampire Weekend and really makes this song enjoyable to listen to. Also the soothing vocals and acoustic guitar coming in and out of the song don’t hurt it either, ha. A real smooth, soothing, indie song that I have playing all the time while I’m jsut relaxing after a long days work. ENJOY!

So I am currently putting together a list of my favorite ‘acoustic’ songs for you guys. Clearly will have a much chiller feel to it than past mixtapes, but this will be perfect for those long nights at the library or stuck in your room for hours finishing up some homework. If you want to send me some of your favorites I would love to give them a listen and throw them on the tape if they make the cut. I am also looking for some original songs from fans out there and this will be a wonderful way to get your name out. New Cudder – Oh baby get outta here, it’s dangerous

This song is reported to not be included on Man on the the Moon 2, even though it sounds pretty nice. This could be a diss track toward Wale, since Wale dissed CuDi in his “Thank You Freestyle.” Rich Hil sounds good on this. Chill and relax to some new CuDi, even though this song is tagged for now. Hopefully, we’ll get a tagless soon.

Big Z Remixes – Slow Down ft. Lupe Fiasco & Nico

Here’s a promo track to Big Z Remixes’ mixtape that is expected to drop on Wednesday. This mashup is only 1:33 long, but it packs a huge punch. The instrumentals are too nice, and Lupe rapping over it is way too ill. This blend between Lupe and Nico is something I could enjoy all day. Turn your speakers up or put on some nice headphones, this will surely be pleasing to the ears. Quit hating on Big Z Remixes because he makes some phenomenal mashups.

From my observation, “Sleepy Secrets” mixes together Passion Pit’s “Sleepyhead” with another Passion Pit sSong, “Little Secrets,” Jibbs’ “Chain Hang Low,” and Lupe Fiasco’s “Kick, Push.” I hope I heard all the songs correctly. “Naps For Narcolepsy” mixes Dem Franchize Boys’ “White Tee” with Grizzly Bear’s “Two Weeks,” Collective Soul’s “Shine,” Dorrough’s “Ice Cream Paint Job,” and many other songs. Keepin it Is-Real, Vol. 2 is coming out next week and I was wondering if you could promote it. It’s a compilation of stuff I’ve released over the last few months that I’ve never added to an album. But that shouldn’t take away from it. It’s gonna be just as good as Keepin It Is-Real, Vol. 1. For example, The Rise of Dank-enstein is going to be on it.
