While 'Glee' was spot-on in its tribute to Britney Spears in September, it's safe to say her fans are ready for the real deal. The pop princess, who has remained relatively low-key since wrapping up her Circus Tour, is currently working on her new album with a few familiar faces, including producers Dr. Luke and Max Martin.

'She's such an icon, I don't want to let anyone down,' Dr. Luke said last week at the Hollywood Reporter/ Billboard Film & TV Music Conference. 'But most importantly, I want to make good music.'

Luke said that he is anticipating that Britney's album will see an early 2011 release, and a source told THR it would hit stores before March 31.

In addition to Dr. Luke ('Circus') and Martin ('... Baby One More Time'), Darkchild and newcomer Billboard are also said to be working with Spears.

When asked if there were anything else he could reveal about the heavily guarded project, Luke wouldn't say much. "Just that I'm excited to be co-executive producing with Max Martin, the person who kind of invented Britney, and to make good music," he said. "And she's such an amazing vehicle to getting that music out to a lot of people in every country."

With Luke and Martin helming the project, fans may expect to hear Spears sounding like the producers' frequent collaborators Katy Perry and Ke$ha. But there have also been indications that Brit will take a fresher approach. Last month, Spears' manager Adam Leber spoke to Entertainment Weekly about her next album, promising that it will introduce a 'progressive' sound from the pop star.

''It'll be a departure from what you've heard,'' he added.

What producers would you like to see Britney team up with? Sound off below!

Curren$y – ‘Pilot Talk II’ (Album Cover)

Spitta’s new LP is on the way. Hit the jump for the video of the man himself discussing Pilot Talk II and of course, weed.

MC Hammer – ‘Better Run Run’ (Jay-Z Diss)

Some of you may be very confused by this post, so here is some info. As you may recall, one of the G.O.O.D. Friday installments was So Appalled which featured the likes of Jay-Z RZA, and Pusha T. In the song, Jay said the following…

“And Hammer went broke so you know I’m more focused

I lost 30 mil so I spent another 30

‘Cause unlike Hammer 30 million can’t hurt me.”

Well hammer took offense to this and decided to come out of retirement to give him a piece of his mind. If anything, this diss proves how far lyricism in rap has come. This is an embarrassment. Watch anyway…

Wiz Khalifa – ‘Black and Yellow’ (Live) x Brings Out Chris Brown In Houston [Video]

Wiz brings out Breezy to dance… That’s about it. I want some new material Christopher, Graffiti kept me wanting more.

KiD CuDi – Man On The Moon 2: The Legend Of Mr. Rager (Trailer)

Here are some promo visuals from CuDi’s upcoming LP, which unfortunately sprung a leak and was very disappointing, in my opinion… Pick it up anyway next Tuesday.

Hit the jump for some paparazzi footage of a VERY, VERY inebriated CuDi.

Mac Miller – ‘Trippin’ Out’

New Mac

Mr. Miller get his CuDi on here with this trippy, substance-influenced cut. Would much rather appreciate some Kickin Incredibly Dope Shit material. Kind of a Halloween feel to this I suppose… Enjoy…

Tayyib Ali – Eighteen [Free Mixtape]

One of the best mixtapes of the year

The highly anticipated mixtape by Tayyib Ali is here, and it is pretty damn good. It’s been about a month and a half from when the mixtape was originally set to drop, but big things were surfacing with Tayyib, so his team decided to push back the release date of the tape. Tayyib brought us this new tape, which tells Tayyib’s story of him turning eighteen and wanting to make a huge name for himself. His mixtape Eighteen contains 18 songs that each have good lyricism and great production, especially from ILO Prodcutions, B-Free, and Jon Kilmer. Tayyib Ali is still young, and for every artist there is room for improvement. He is still developing his sound and flow, so expect him to be ready to throw fire our way soon enough. I hope you download the tape and like it. Four of my many favorite songs off the tape are streamed below. Become a fan of Tayyib Ali if you haven’t yet. Enjoy!

OnCue – Your Own Supply

New Cuey!

So I was sitting on fbook (which my life has come to since my phone broke) and Cuey hit me up with his first leak of his new project Leftovers (should be dropping at the end of the month). It’s produced by CJ Luzi (worked with Cuey before) and samples Phantogram’s “Mouthful of Diamonds”. If you haven’t downloaded his mixtape Cuey Sings The Blues then you are ages behind on one of the best mixtapes of the year, so grab it now. Enjoy this and keep checking in for more leaks from Leftovers.

Sam Tsui – ‘Love The Way You Lie Mash-Up’ (Love the Way You Lie x Dynamite x Teenage Dream)

Incredible Talent

Yes, I understand this song is a little feminine for you gentlemen out there, but deal with it. I have been debating for a while whether to put this up, so here it is… The video has almost 4.5 million views on YouTube so I’m sure many of you have already seen it. I apologize to those that have. Anywho… Name the 3 most over-played songs on the radio today… Did I hear Love the Way You Lie, Dynamite, and Teenage Dream? Well, this young man with a voice from the gods somehow manages to mix them all together. I’ll shut up now, just listen and enjoy the young man’s talent if you don’t care for the song itself. Enjoy…

Ka’Boo – Luchini

Insane Lyricism

Okay so what we have here is a new track from my friend Ka’Boo. I haven’t posted him yet here on GMAD because he’s never killed a song like this before. Yes, Wiz and Wale both killed this track as well, but just listen to the rhymes and lyricism Ka’Boo throws out there. With this track and many more to come Ka’Boo hopefully will be a regular on GMAD if he keeps killin’ it like Luchini. Check em out on Facebook as well if you’re diggin’ this track. Enjoy!

The 16th Seed Ft. Jazz Cartier & Topaz Jones – Take It Home

Insane Black & Yellow Remix

This track has literally been on repeat since the minute I downloaded it. When you’ve got an all-star line up of the best new artists going in on a beat like Black and Yellow, the finished product will be nothing short of incredible. The 16th Seed ( Triple J and LED of The Band Eclypse), Jazz Cartier, and Topaz Jones flow over the original beat, but make the song their own with a new (dope) hook. It’s a versatile track, perfect for partying, driving, anything. Check it out below and watch out for these guys in the future.

Mayer Hawthorne – No Strings (DJ Jazzy Jeff Roller Boogie Remix)

Funky Remix

Mayer Hawthorne has graced the pages of GMAD once in awhile, but it wasn’t until this remix that I did some research and learned he is from Ann Arbor, MI… just like yours truley… ha.. now onto the music. This remix has a reeeaaallll funky beat that keeps you entertained throughout, and Mayer Hawthorne’s vocals give the whole thing a very unique feel. It is just a real fun song that is perfect to throw on in the background and just jam to. Also nice to see DJ Jazzy Jeff back at it… ENJOY!

Wiz sits down with the radio show to discuss Kush & OJ. The sound doesn’t match his mouth at all… Part 2 to follow. Props NahRight.

Lil Wayne Handwritten Letters from Jail

Lil Wayne Jail Letter To Billboard page one

Lil Wayne Jail Letter To Billboard page two

Billboard’s ‘The Juice’ interviewed Wayne from behind bars. Interesting stuff. Hit the jump for the complete interview with the questions.

The Juice: Since you’ve been at Rikers, Drake and Nicki Minaj have broken out as bona fide superstars. What about the two has pushed them along to become such forces to be reckoned with? Was there anything about their rise that shocked you?

Lil Wayne: Young Money artists Drake and Nicki Minaj are both born stars! I am just blessed to have them on the team. It’s Drake’s drive to be great and Nick’s motivation to be different and creative. I am not shocked at all about their immediate success.

You’ve been one of the most prolific artists alive over the past five years, but most of that came to a halt with your prison sentence. Did you enjoy just writing and not recording in the studio? And did that change your process at all? Has any of it been frustrating, or have you enjoyed the break?

I definitely enjoyed the writing process and it was a lot different from just being in the studio with music. It’s more critical and personal. It was frustrating at times but for the most part it was beautiful, as it’s always beautiful to create.

When you’re released, where will your focus be musically?

When I’m released, I’ll be giving my musical attention to “The Carter IV” and promoting “I Am Not A Human being.” I may drop a mixtape! You know me!

What’s the one thing that occurred this year that you’ve regretted the most? What did you miss most while you were incarcerated?

No regrets. I missed my wonderful kids the most!!

Which artists/friends have been the most supportive while you’ve been incarcerated? Have there been a lot of visits? Which have been the most surprising/unexpected?

All artists and friends were very supportive. Thank God I’ve gotten two visits a week since the day I walked in. I’d have to say the visit from Diddy was most surprising because there’s a lot that you’re required to go through and to think he did just to see me is more than cool. But again, everybody has been more than supportive. I never felt alone.

What kind of facilities were you allowed to use while locked up? For example, how often were you allowed on a computer to update twitter?

I used the phone everyday, but no computer at all. I just have to thank Karen Civil for keeping my site so great!

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned throughout this experience? What has been the most positive thing out of the whole ordeal?

I’ve learned about my strength and inner peace. I’ve shown myself how patient I can be. The most important or positive thing I’ve gotten out of this is the ability to be so humble.

We’ve heard you on the various phone interviews you’ve done since being in jail, and you sound very refreshed. Do you plan on continuing this clean streak? What are you most nervous about acclimating to once you are released?

I’m not nervous about anything and I have no choice but to continue this clean streak.

You spent a lot of time reading and answering fan mail while you’ve been in jail. What did you learn about your fans from that?

I’ve learned a lot from my fans, mostly about my impact on others’ lives. There are many letters that helped me in many ways. And I do plan on reading more fan mail after my release.

You recently said Eric Benet’s “Sometimes I Cry” song is one of your favorites tunes to listen to in jail. What other songs are you listening to these days?

I only listened to the slow jams station, so whatever they played, I jammed to.

Since your incarnation, T.I. has gotten arrested and will serve time again. What are your thoughts on his situation, and do you think the jail system actually serves to rehabilitates people?

What’s your next tattoo? Will you memorialize your time in jail with some sort of ink?

Not sure.

What details can you give us about your welcome home concert? Also, what are the first five things you want to do when you are released other than perform?

Not sure about the concert yet. And the first five things I will do is kiss Reginae, kiss little Dwayne, kiss Neal, kiss Kameron and kiss my wonderful mother Cita.

Just walked in the door from a weekend in Wash DC (9 hour drive) and it was crazy. Now time to get back to work tomorrow morning so here is a song to remind you of the crazy weekend that I hope you all had as well, and also get you a new one to add to your playlist for next week.
