XV – Gettin’ Bizzy

I’m super excited for this project. That being said, this song was pretty good. It goes really hard, and XV kills it but I’m not a huge fan of the hook. I think the female vocals are annoying. Wish he would have done something different. Still excited. Vizzy’s homie Seven on the boards. Lemme know what you think. Enjoy

Mashup-Germany – The Wavin Flag Mashup

Awesome Chill Mash-up

So I spotted this over at RN so I’ll let them do the talking. Overall though it’s not something you’ll bump at a party but rather something you listen to and appreciate the thought/work/talents that went into it. enjoy . . .

Mashup-Germany always produces hits even if you aren’t a fan of every song they choose to mash. They have the skills down to perfection and are experts when it comes to the timing of bringing tracks in and out the song. To me, this is a real mashup, as opposed to other mashups where they have one acapella track, and mash it with the melody of another. In this song, M-G literally mixes over 8 different artists/bands into one song. Its pretty incredible even if you aren’t into mashups.

The artists that are mashed together are as follows – K’naan vs. Kings of Leon vs. Matisyahu vs. Whitney Houston vs. Counting Crows vs. Gentleman vs. Jamaram vs. others

Sleepyhead Sample

Crazy

This is truly mind blowing, at least it was for me, but wait til you here what song Passion Pit sampled for their track Sleepyhead, that is so creative. I couldn’t find a video or mp3 of them mash-up’d so I made one for you guys so you can easily here the parts that are sampled. It’s kinda hard to hear part of it because it’s playing inthe back but listen up. The first track is them mixed together so you can here exactly what’s sampled and the second is just the straight track by Mary O’Hara they sampled. Neither are free so you can only listen and stream it and not download it.

So it’s summer time and I was going through my iTunes and figured not enough of you guys know about RHymefest, who in addition to being one of the greatest freestyle rappers of all time (he beat Eminem in a battle and has won countless battle nights) has released some awesome free music.
