Here is the second installment of The Chill Summer Mixtape, this time titled the ‘Back To School Edition’. The reason for this is I intended to release this as the final of the series, but there were just so many songs I wanted to get out to you guys sooner, so thought why not. This tape is a little more up-beat compared to the previous tape, starting with some solid hip-hop songs that are perfect for just hanging out, getting ready to go out on a weekend, and then as the tape goes on, the songs become more and more up-beat, ending with a few of my favorite pregame/party songs for you guys. don’t worry if you were really hoping for another chill tape because there are 4 more tapes (at least) lined up which are much chiller than this one. Like before, below are a few of my faves to give you a feel of the tape, but get the whole thing because this is a 17 track tape that is worth it. ENJOY!

Lil Wayne’s ‘Carter IV’ Will ‘Change Your Life’

Is this necessary? I’m sure many of you will say no, but you need to start getting as excited as I am. The most famous, and hardest working man is rap is on the verge of releasing the 4th installment in his Carter series. Album sales have been painfully low lately, so I don’t want to be too crazy but I will say CIV will push 1.8 million copies. You heard it here first. I will personally buy at least 6 copies. Oh and there’s more Wayne news and new Chiddy visuals. And word on the streets is that “artist” that Dow is hinting at is none other than Andre 3-stacks. I can’t stop smiling.

Up and Coming Rapper

Here is some new music from a man that goes by the name Carlos St. John. His camp actually sent an e-mail telling us we should check him out and he didn’t disappoint. He’s from Brooklyn and he has nice flow. That’s what you need to know. He also has some friends who provide great vocals. So here we have “Breathe Again” which is his single off this project. You of course can also download the whole mixtape-EP thing. It has 8 tracks and I’m very impressed with quite a few of them. Wale. Boom. I had been trying to think of someone he reminds me of. He kinda sounds like Wale too? Enjoy. And thanks a lot to his crew for sending this through.
