Here’s one of the songs Sam added to his music collection on iTunes to turn his Boston’s Boy EP into an LP. G. Curtis has a great voice and a little pop-hop on that on that from Sam Adams sound pretty good. I thought I would end the night with a couple videos, so here’s the first. The next will be good, too. Great New Shad Remix
Spotted at Potholes…
Shad’s promotional team is making sure that at least all of the ‘net is damn well aware that his fantastic TSOL record is dropping in the U.S. soon. We posted last month that he’s hitting the road with fellow Canadian hip-hop act k-os and just last week he dropped off the stylish video for “We, Myself & I.”
And today we have a remix to what might be the album’s best track, “Rose Garden,” which also has a video out there. Gone is Shad’s epic opening verse — a personal favorite — and in its place is the first guest feature. Von Pea, of Tanya Morgan, sounds right at home on the soulful, uplifting production and hits his stride about halfway through before giving way to the hook. He’s followed by Shad, who drops a brand new verse littered with inspiring lines and witty punch lines — “I don’t want to hear no whinin’ unless CeCe sings.” Pea’s Tanya Morgan-cohort Donwill shows he’s no slouch either as he rounds out the track with hard-hitting bars and plenty of attitude.

Back from his liquid cocaine (which I didn’t even know existed…) arrest, I’ll let TMZ do the talking…
He pled guilty on Friday to criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree (how many degrees are there?) and was sentenced to two days of community service. He also has to stay out of trouble for the next six months.

So its a gloomy day up here in The Mitten and this acoustic guitar driven hip hop song is the perfect thing to listen to as I lay here after a long day’s work. cfen returned the favor by sending this track over to me and when I read that it was Kno from Cunninlynguists I knew it would be something I would love. Ever since I started listening to them back in 2006, they have fulfilled my need for some real good, real true, and real powerful hip-hop, and it looks like Kno’s solo album, ‘Death is Silent’ wont be any different. Smooth Feel, Smooth Cover
Here we have something different then the typical GMAD track. It’s a soul/jazz cover of The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army”. Just got the tip from Haas a little bit ago to put this up. At first, we we’rent sure if this was new, but then I guess we thought that because he remixed 2AM Club’s “Nobody’s In Love” months ago, which you can find on the site, as well.
