Olu doesn’t quit
I don’t think we could try to get rid you Olu if we tried. For the last couple weeks, he’s been back on his grind and throwing a lot of heat our way. He’s now giving us a song every Thursday for his “Thirsty Thursday” special. party on again to Olu. In the song he samples Grum’s “Heartbeat.” Expect more fire and hot verses from Olu soon enough. I really don’t know much about this song. The original is by Mattafix who is a hip hop duo from the UK, and this remix is by…. I have no idea. found it just labeled as Big City Life Remix… and I would figure someone that put this together would like some credit, so if you have any info throw it in the comment section. That aside, reallllll nice beat… gives the song a very feel-good vibe and the hook is so catchy you will be singing it before your finished with your first listen. ENJOY!

Split Second just dropped a new song featuring Loggy today. This song is pretty fun, and it samples Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks,” which is an ill song to sample. Kandid McFly – The Opening Act (Mixtape)
Solid mixtape
I posted “Leave My Side” a few weeks ago and it had a pretty good reaction. Kandid McFly is out of Cincinnati and is pumping out some hot tracks. The mixtape is hosted by Mr. Peter Parker and features 14 tracks from Kandid McFly. It’s worth a look and has a number of great tracks on it. I’ve been urged by Shane Richardson to put this up, and I agree it’s pretty damn good.
Ohio buzzmaker Kandid McFly has joined forces with DJBooth.net and YNotMyDream.net to drop his latest street album, The Opening Act. DJ Corbett makes the sole guest appearance on the project, which is engineered and produced entirely by Minneapolis-based duo 8 Attack.

Old Cataracs
Got this song last winter and it is what got me into The Cataracs. They produced and sing the hooks on this fun party song and Ya Boy throws in some pretty solid verses. They put this on their mixtape, ‘I Thought They Were Black?!’ but also added a few tags, so this is the original, untagged version. Real nice track and if you don’t have the whole mixtape I highly recommend you grab it. Enjoy!
