Tayyib Ali – Penthouse Minutes

A chill beat with some smooth rhymes

The kid with the flow that’s “too precise.” Yeah he’s flow is on point, and he can bring fire when he chooses, just as he has done on his previous tracks. This time though, he slows it down, displaying his versatility. Tayyib is eighteen and is trying to make some major moves. If you like Tayyib’s style, look at what he has been able to do in the past right here. You can see a lot of his newer music on GMAD, the most recent of which should be on his upcoming mixtape Eighteen which has a new drop date on November 1st. If you haven’t become a fan of Tayyib Ali yet, I think you should. This guy has been working with some nice artists and has some fresh music in the making. Things may blow up even more soon enough for him. Become a fan of Tayyib Ali on facebook.

GMAD Music Player Update!

Now With Scrubbing!

I know some of you might not think this should be a post, but I just wanted to let you guys know that, thanks to cfen, our music player now has scrubbing (the ability to skip through the song). I made this into a post because I knew that this was one of the biggest complaints of the new site layout, so I just wanted to let you guys know. Hopefully this increases your GMAD experience!

White Noise + Good Music All Day Presents: Power Hour Volume III

Another Power Hour!?

White Noise just blessed us with the final product to the collab between GMAD and him to create a custom power hour for everyone! Everyone knows what a power hour is (I would hope) and what he has done here is created 60, brand new mash-ups, and mixed them into a straight flowing listening experience. The full hour doesnt sound choppy at all as it switched from song to song and of course has Lil Jon reminding us to take “SHOTS!” at every minute mark (just like the first two GoodMusicAllDay Power Hours). He also titled every 5 songs to correspond with how you “might” be feeling (as you will see with the sound clips below). I really think this came together AMAZINGLY and hope you all feel the same. ENJOY!

Ten (Man, This Shit Is Easy)

Twenty-Five (I’m Getting Kinda Tired Of Hearing Lil Jon Yell “Shots”)

Forty-Five (If I Quit Now, My Friends Will Think I’m A Pussy)

Fifty (If I Puke, Am I Disqualified?)

Fifty-Four

Jeezy’s TM103 Gets Release Date

Detox is basically a myth created by Dr. Dre to get people excited about something. I understand that. Along with Game’s R.E.D. Album Jeezy’s TM103 is also becoming a myth of sorts. This being said, he’s done a great job at releasing mixtapes and whatnot. Well, XXL is reporting that the long-anticipated album has now been given a December 14th release date. Yup. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Chiddy Bang – Opposite Of Adults (KIDS) (Big Gigantic Remix)

Preview Due out Tomorrow!

In honor of Chiddy Bang’s next album/EP/Mixtape/Sampler (or whatever it is) coming out tonight at midnight they released a real nice remix to their current hit single, Opposite Of Adults (KIDS). For this remix, Xaphoon Jones actualy contacted the Boulder, Co duo known as Big Gigantic and asked them to add thier own flare to this song… and that is exactly what they did. Still incorporating the MGMT sample, and then adding thier own electro feel to it, this song has a real nice funky sound to it that I am really enjoying. Hope you like it and be sure to grab The Preview tomorrow! Enjoy and shouts to Philly Chiddy for the leak (as well as most of the recent Chiddy Posts!)

La Roux – In For The Kill (Remix) feat. Kanye West

It’s Ye…

This song is painfully annoying for me, but Kanye does quite the job on the remix. He adds a very nice verse, but throws in a few moans.. Getting his Wayne on? I dunno… Listen and judge. Enjoy…

1982 feat. Mac Miller – 82-92

Nice New Mac [Radio Rip]

This leaked yesterday and I was waiting for something better than a Radio Rip to drop, but I had to settle. The quality actually isn’t that bad, however Shade 45 felt the need to add some shouts. A Biggie Sample, a crazy beat, and really nice verses, that’s what you need to know. Enjoy…

Kanye West Interview with Vanity Fair

Kanye sits down with Vanity Fair to discuss the last few years of his life. Dark Twisted Fantasy is slowly approaching…

LISA ROBINSON: Looking back on last year’s MTV Awards, when you interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech—you said Beyoncé was robbed, and a lot of us agreed with you. How do you feel about it now?

KANYE WEST: Well, it was very punk rock and revolutionary and idealistic and very angry in a way. But the timing was in poor taste. And the other two things I’ve learned since then are humility and empathy—to be empathetic to other people’s feelings. To care about how much this must mean to someone else, and not to think that my ideals or my righteousness are more important than someone else’s feelings.

L.R. You’ve protested during award shows before. Do you just take them too seriously?

K.W. These things mean something; you’d like to have some historically accurate representation.

L.R. What did you want to do with your new album?

K.W. I wanted to take it back to the essence, like the soulful people who brought knowledge—like RZA and Q-Tip. At a certain point, you need to find a better way to do it; it’s like people [in basketball] who dunk and hurt their wrist and come down on their knees too hard. Your knee’s gonna give out at a certain point. Some of my social and public-persona knees are starting to give out. I still want to run the games. I’ve just got to not get kicked up quite as hard.

L.R. You also have an entirely new, elegant look; you told me you thought that the traditional hip-hop look was tired.

K.W. Yeah, people always dress like they’re headed to the gym.

L.R. Why did you have permanent diamonds drilled into your bottom teeth?

K.W. I just like diamond teeth and I didn’t feel like having to take them out all the time.

L.R. What do you think Jay-Z has done for you?

K.W. Man, everything—served as a big brother, the blueprint, our reality. Someone to look up to.

L.R. What do you think you’ve done for him?

K.W. Just served as a burst of energy at all times—light and energy. Just a person who’s constantly seeking information that Jay can use.

L.R. You’ve had a tough time since the death of your mother, in 2007. Even though you’re always in recording studios, this past year you retreated from the spotlight. How are you these days?

K.W. Extremely happy. And you know … people obviously know I lost my mother, and it was shocking. On one hand, I never really dealt with the loss, but in not dealing with the loss, I also didn’t completely deal with the responsibilities that my mother used to take. She was such an amazing, well-rounded person, and I was a spoiled brat.

L.R. You were?

K.W. Yeah, and my mom used to balance my spoiled-bratness by just being one of the most awesome people. She was a teacher, and to be a teacher you have to care about people—you can’t just care about yourself. I just cared about myself. I thought the fact that so many people in the world—a million in the first week [of a record release]—cared about me, that that was enough, but it’s not enough. The best thing I can do now is carry on my mother’s legacy. I need to recapture the hearts of the world just to show people how great my mother was, to show people that Donda raised a good guy. My responsibility is to make music that’s progressive, that makes me happy, that makes everyone happy. My job in society isn’t to be mad. My job is to present good music.

Jay-Z Feat. Maxwell – Party Life (Urban Noize Remix) [GMAD Exclusive]

Smooth New Urban Noize

Urban Noize hit us up with his newest remix as an exclusive for GMAD. It’s a nice smooth slow-jam mix of Jay’s track “Party Life” off of his American Gangster album. Here’s what the man had to say…

We Just wanted to thank you for posting up & supporting all music. It mean a lot to know that you appreciate what we do. Here’s an exclusive off of an Jay-Z & Maxwell “American Summer Nights” project were working. Theres isn’t a release date for it yet. We’re still cutting & adding tracks for it as we speak. ‘I Am Not a Human Being’ Included with Def Jam ‘Rapstar’ Purchase

After being released solely as a digital album, I Am Not a Human Being is now hitting retail stores everywhere. It was also announced today that the album will be included in a combo pack when you purchase Def Jam’s ‘Rapstar.’ So will that be included in his total album sales? This will only be happening this week so get yourself to a Best Buy. Hmmm…. This is what his manager said about the situation…

“Part of our work as managers is to develop new ways for the artist and brand worlds to intersect. Lil Wayne himself is an avid gamer, and ‘Def Jam Rapstar’ is a new way for fans to interact with music, so it was a natural fit.”

Gabriel Stark – Random Song That Doesn’t Fit

Listen and Relax

Got this one in the GMAD submissions (keep the music comin!). This new artist by the name of Gabriel Stark goes in on a sampling of Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours”. Here’s some words from the man himself…

My name is Gabriel Stark and I’m a 20 year old college student in Philly. I live in New York and just finished an electronic/house/hip hop album titled, Dingy Tee-Shirt:Sunglasses Required. Random Song That Doesn’t Fit is the first single off of this album. I wanted to give the college kids something to rock to while they’re going home for Fall Break.
