Another sweet, chill song from Trey Palms.
I like to give individual attention to songs and this one really needed its own spotlight. Trey Palms just began in the rap game, but he is already proving to be a great artist. You may have not seen my last two posts on Trey Palms, one which featured Jack Johnson and another one which is a remix to “Final Countdown.” Check out both of those songs here. Trey Palms uses some autotune, but it is mainly limited to the hook. On the verses, he shines on the amazing beat, which I hope he eventually purchases and rerecords. This is one of those chill songs you could enjoy while studying or just relaxing. Trey’s flow is nice and the lyrics are meaningful to his life. It’s alway nice to hear a story on a song. Here’s some info on the track which I received from SB in an email regarding Trey Palms:
“So Right” was a little more thought out than Final Countdown (Remix). Trey found the beat, originally created by scarecrowbeats.com and he wrote up some lyrics one sunday afternoon, possibly attributing to the more laid-back feel to the song. On a related note, we’re happy to announce that we’ll creating a completely original mixtape, teaming up with famed mashup artist, dj, and producer “Blackasaurus Rex.” We plan on creating the beats and recording starting within the next couple weeks with a release sometime in the beginning of December at the latest, however Trey will continue to be releasing new tracks weekly. We also plan to take up three of our invitations to perform at colleges this fall, although details are not definite right now and hopefully we will continue with many more shows this spring.
